Tiffany Crystal's Forecast for the day:

Who completely forgot to work on site content and focused on editing this week, instead? Yup. It was me. To be fair though, I kinda had/have a lot going on. First, my mother fell and hit her head, leaving a pretty impressive puddle of blood. Then, I got a heart monitor slapped on me. 

Mom is fine. She just busted both of her lips, but because she’s severely anemic, she bled a lot and it mixed with saliva, making it look much worse than it was. They have to be careful with her though, because she keeps reopening the wounds. 

I’m…we’re not sure. I think I mentioned it before, but just in case, tl;dr: I have a racing heartbeat (thanks, Covid). I think they’re trying to rule out AFIB right now, which I don’t think I have, but I am nowhere near being a doctor, much less a cardiologist, so I’m listening to the health professionals in my life and just doing what I’m told. That means, wearing this heart monitor for the weekend, which is very frustrating, but I’m glad this mess is getting checked out, because I’m getting tired of not being able to do things I want to do without my heart trying to gallop out of my chest.

On the plus side, the technician who placed it told me that this is apparently very common, especially in the “younger” people who were infected (good news, people! Forty is still “young”!). It’s a comfort, knowing that this is something known – even if they’re not sure why it happens. Step one is always finding a correlation, then moving to determine if it’s causation. I’m okay with being more data that helps them figure it out. (Would’ve also been okay with not being data, but. Life.)

Picard:

I really need to work on not being so attached to some characters. Right now, I am so pissed they brought Data back – in any form. He wanted to die. He asked Picard to let him go. I absolutely hate this for him. Also, as soon as he kept repeating “Jean-Luc Picard”, I knew what was stolen. This goes back to the Jack/Changeling thing. They need Picard’s body for something that has to do with Jack, I just know it.
