#MusicMonday – Week 9
Happy National Reading Day, everyone! This has to be one of my
favorite holidays, ever (besides Halloween and/or Christmas). To celebrate, here’s a couple songs based off of (or inspired by) literature!
VIDEO Poor quality, but love it anyway.
VIDEO Okay, I kinda cheated on this one. Technically not a work of literature, but Icarus’ story is a famous one, and I only just now found out that the song had an official music video.
VIDEO This one has a couple connections to books. First, it’s based off of “The Dark Hunter” series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, and second, the singer of Warchild is Sherrilyn’s brother. The quality is a bit iffy, but the song’s not terrible.
VIDEO They’re known as the concept idols for a reason, people. In 2018, VIXX released the song, “Scentist” (scent+artist), based on/influenced by “Perfume: The Story of a Murderer” by Patrick Süskind
